How it works

Soluble phosphorus in the water column discharges with the effluent because nothing in a conventional lagoon removes it. This product binds it into a settleable form, so it leaves the water column and joins the solids on the bottom instead of leaving with your discharge.

It combines the binding materials with beneficial bacteria, which is why the reported effect is broader than phosphorus alone. As the floc forms and settles it pulls BOD, TSS and total nitrogen down with it, so systems typically see several permit parameters improve together rather than one in isolation.

The important consequence to plan for is that the phosphorus does not disappear, it relocates to your sludge. That is a good trade when facing a permit limit, but it belongs in your sludge planning rather than being discovered later during a survey.
